Hospital Mission Statement


White County Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, community governed Hospital made up of people who are committed within the Hospital's resources to improving the health status of all people throughout White County, Indiana and surrounding areas:

We are committed to:

  • delivering quality, compassionate, cost-effective health services both directly and by working cooperatively with others;
  • serving in a leadership role to ensure the availability of a comprehensive continuum of services, including education and prevention, along with diagnostic and therapeutic care, provided through inpatient, ambulatory and home-care delivery modes;
  • serving in a leadership role to advocate for the health needs of people;
  • educating and training health professionals; and
  • living our values of Excellence, Service, People, Responsibility, Innovation and Teamwork


Hospital Statement of Vision


White County Memorial Hospital will be known as the hospital of choice in Monticello and the surrounding communities. This will be accomplished by partnering with our Medical Staff, co-workers and other providers. Our culture will be described as innovative, responsible, ethical, values-oriented and quality focused. We will lead efforts to improve the health of our community and to create a seamless continuum of care.
