FOUNDATION Healing Garden

The Healing Garden is located off the main lobby of the hospital. It allows patients and visitors - a place to relax, reflect, and connect in a place of solitude while taking in the healing elements of nature.

Once complete, the Healing Garden will be a place of quiet meditative serenity. Visitors will experience over 111 square feet of therapeutic landscaping nestled in an alcove sheltered by 3 sides of the building. It will be accessable off the main lobby as well as off of the Oncology department. Treatment rooms overlook the healing garden as well as have a door for patients to access their own private patio to receive treatment outside.

Studies show that natural environments can have a positive effect on patients. Creating a place with elements that represent life andhealth, such as trees, plants and flowers; and features that stimulate the senses, such as fragrances, the sound of birds and water, and the feel of sunlight or a gentle breeze will be beneficial to aptients, visitors and caregivers. Now you can be a part of creating this healing landscape.

Your purchase of a brick, that will form the walkway, represents one permanent step on a healing path for many to enjoy. The bricks are available for a $500 donation all of which is tax deductible. Bricks can be done in honor/memory of a loved one, name of a business, family name or your favorite saying. Print and fill out brick form, and mail to the WCMH Foundation with payment.
