Department Foods & Nutrition
Food and Nutrition Services (F&N) promotes healthy eating habits for our patients, the organization's employees and the community. F&N recognizes the individual's right to personal food preferences.
Our staff consisting of Certified Dietary Managers, Certified Cooks, as well as a Registered Dietitian are all considered vital tools in helping reach our patient and community educational and nutritional goals.
They actively collaborate with other staff members, such as; nurses, pharmacy personnel, physicians, therapists, discharge planners and others to ensure quality patient care is met. Dietary Services include patient meal service, nutrition education, including food-drug interaction education, nutritional screening and assessment.
Our F&N department is also involved and offers a variety of community based nutrition educational programs, including out-patient counseling. We also prepare meals for White County Head Start & Day Care, and provide catering services for in-house functions.
